Parish of Durham Martyrs

Parish of Durham Martyrs

In 2013 the parish of St. Bede, Our Lady of Mercy, and St. Godric was merged with the parish of St. Joseph to officially become the Parish of the Durham Martyrs. We had our inaugural Mass as one parish in St. Leonard’s Catholic School and continue to worship together there as one community for our Christmas and Easter Masses.  Our parish Priest is Fr. Colm Hayden.

Parish Priest: Fr Colm Hayden

Fr. Colm is from Dublin, Ireland.

He was appointed our parish priest in 2005.

In 2015 Bishop Seamus further appointed Fr. Colm as the Episcopal Vicar for the East Durham and Sunderland area.
